Marrakech
“The most lovely spot in the world at sunset,” said Winston Churchill. Marrakech – "the land of God", "the pearl of the South" or the "red city" for the Berbers. Many words have been used to describe this city which, all agree, has a beauty unlike any other.White mountain peaks, red houses, ochre earth, green palms, blue sky – Marrakech is a patchwork of colors and contrasts. Unique in the world, “it is an oasis of snow and gold.”
Straddling tradition and modernity, Marrakech affords both the eternal and the ephemeral. With its sunny climate and snow-capped mountains, the color of its land and the luxuriance of its gardens, the expanse of its esplanades and the bustle of its souks, the city has a paradoxical calling: perfecting the moment while perpetuating its charm. The balance between these two extremes shows through with more or less intensity, but always with the same joy – that of adventure and discovery of the unknown.
